Cart riding Sheldon Anderson, Republican jackpot, brought republican Governors together in Las Veges last week. What did we learn? Everybody has to bow down to them if they wear the GOP emblem and its official property trumps everything.
I mean, there he was, New Jersey Governor Chris Christi, in all his traffic study tarnish and slime, publicly to Adelson apologizing for calling the West Bank "Occupied Territory".
Its remarkable where Republicans get property rights. They get it from the constitution where we recently learned that strict interpretation of that document reveals money is speech, corporations are people and property trumps everything. Kind like they yearn for yesteryear in Great Britain when the landed held sway before the industrial revolution isn't it. Now the bible trumps occupation for several hundred years.
Political lunch for us either way. Either Christi believes the west bank occupied by Israeli units is occupied territory or he believes the bible gives Israel claim of property rights over Palestine are actable in the here and now. If he believes Israeli units are occupiers we get to feast on the the notion that something is unfair in Palestine. Setting aside the PLO, which is by all accounts a toothless doctrinaire hate, probably terrorist, organization, the situation requires statehood for palestinians in line with 1967 green lines.
If he, as he now says, believes Israeli forces along the West Bank he is saying that the bible which Israel is now using as determiner of their physical state is a legitimate document to use instead of multinational agreements to the contrary.
Wow.
let's just consider the consequences of either occupation and repression or biblical property rights.
If republicans take the occupy and repress route they would limit voting rights to those who were powerful. If Republicans accepted prior property rights according to some religious document they would take away property from anyone who was not of the favored religion and give it to the favored ones.
My God. Isn't both of those just what the republicans are doing.
